1. Performance and Features
Compared with traditional cast iron pipe, PVC-U water supply pipe features as following:
1) Lightweight.
2) Density: 1/5 or 1/6 of cast iron pipe.
3) Easier carrying and operation, reduces materials and operation costs, also reduces building supports .
4) Smooth inside wall, no furring, no block, flowing easier .
5) Acid resistance, no rusty, no corrode treatment, service life is 4 times of casted
iron pipe.
6) Excellent tensile and impact strength resistance.
7) Cement weld, excellent seal, suit for ground and underground installing .
8) Excellent fire resistance, oxygen index is over 46.
9) Excellent high temperature resistance, softening temperature over 70°C .
10) Adopts special technology, can resist attacking from bacterium and biology.
But they can not become bacterium and biology nutrition.
11) Excellent climate resistance.
12) PVC-U pipe can be affected by strong violet light. Though stimulating PVC
molecule structure, PVC-U pipe surface (0.025mm only, very shallow) is affected.
PVC micro molecule will become multiple organizations and compound structure
forever. This makes PVC-U pipe become light yellow, but its tensile stress is
stronger. If no other conditions, all above can ignore. Multiple organizations
can reduce impact strength.
